Thomas Martin Wubbenhorst (b. 1952) is an Associate Professor of Music at Georgia State University where he is Director of University Bands, conductor of both the Wind Philharmonic and the Symphonic Winds, and coordinator of the instrumental conducting program.

Following graduation from the University of Bridgeport (Bachelor of Science in Music Education) and Yale University (Master of Music in Percussion Performance with an additional emphasis in composition), Wubbenhorst was the Associate Director of Bands at both the University of Missouri - Columbia and at Southeastern Louisiana University. He became Director of Bands at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah and remained there until he was appointed Director of Bands at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. He then served as Director of Orchestral Studies at the University of Nebraska while holding a concurrent appointment at Northwest Missouri State University as the visiting Director of Bands. He returned to the University of Missouri-Columbia as a doctoral fellow, earning a Ph.D. in Music Education in 1992.

Percussion studies with Fred Hinger, Paul Price, Howard Zwickler, and Ray Luedee and masterclasses with marimbist Leigh Howard Stevens, allow Wubbenhorst to bring a synthesis of teachings of these masters to his private studio. Composition studies with Frank Lewin, Yehudi Wyner, and John Cheetham have resulted in many compositions.
